摘要
The book-publishing industry has been dramatically impacted by the advent and growing popularity of the e-book platform. This paper examines this phenomenon from the context of the long tail theory by testing the e-book adoption rate for a sample of novels listed in decades past as New York Times Best-sellers. Additionally, the paper estimates annual sales of a sampling of these works to verify the existence of demand for e-book versions of novels that may no longer be in print.
