ORIENTATION PHENOMENON IN IONIZATION DECELERATION OF ELECTRON-POSITRON PAIRS IN CRYSTALS

摘要
The fly-off of the components of a high energy electron-positron pair moving in an aligned crystal is shown to be determined by coherent scattering of the pair particles in an averaged potential of atomic strings or crystal planes. As a consequence this phenomenon has a considerable dependence of the ionization losses of the pair energy on the alignment angle of the momenta of the pair particles relative to the basic crystal directions.
