摘要
The Compania Trasatlantica Espanola was the company in charge of the manufacturing of the large ocean-going vessels from the first half of the 19th century until the late 20th century. Those spaces became real floating palaces considering both constructive and decorative richness. As it happened with other European examples, most of them appeared on newspapers. Industrial processes and constructive modernization between the 19th and 20th centuries demanded improvements in ergonomic, safe and security matters. The case of the Transatlantics was not isolated. Old interior decoration and furniture which they had had for centuries began to change in line with the new fashion.
