摘要：

In the present paper the effect of diffusion on concentration profiles of solute elements in continuously cast steel has been investigated. A mathematical model has been presented for simultaneous calculation of diffusion and solidification rate. Molecular diffusion of carbon and manganese were shown to cause only a very small amount of macrosegregation.
