摘要
This study aims to reflect on the teaching practice of Physical Education teachers in High School. It is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, based on a field research. The research was developed in the Public Schools of the State Education Network in Sobral - CE. Ten professors of Physical Education were defined as subjects of the research, to whom a semistructured interview was applied. We conclude that a Physical Education is indispensable in all basic education, and we point out the need to value this curricular component in the same way as the others in High School, understanding that discipline as a source of necessary knowledge for the construction of new citizens, more complete, more integrated and conscious of its role in the society to which they belong.
