LEVELS OF TE-124 FROM DECAY OF 4.2-DAY I-124

摘要
The population of levels of Te124 from the decay of 4.2-day I124 has been investigated by studying the I124 γ rays with a Ge(Li) Compton suppression spectrometer and with NaI(Tl)-Ge(Li) coincidence systems. Seventy-two γ rays were identified as originating from I124, and 62 of them were assigned to 24 levels of Te124. The levels populated from I124 decay are compared to the levels of Te124 populated from the decay of the Sb124 isomers. The nature of the levels is discussed in the framework of the quasiparticle and spherical vibrational models. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
