摘要
The compression of mixtures of photosynthetic pigments and phosphatidylcholine in monolayers at a water-air interface shows that: the phosphatidylcholine disperses the isolated pigment molecules; chlorophylls a and b, chlorophyll a and .beta.-carotene, and chlorophyll b and .beta.-carotene form associations which cannot be undone by the phospholipids; and when the 2 chlorophylls and .beta.-carotene are mixed together with or without phosphatidylcholine, the 3 types of associations are ideally mixed and they can be dispersed by phosphatidylcholine.
