CONTROL OF SEED-BORNE FUNGI OF WHEAT WITH FUNGICIDES

摘要
Significant reduction of seed-dome infection owing to Alternaria tenuis. Aspergillus flavus, Bipolaris sorokiniana. Curvularia lunata and Fusarium semitectum could be achieved in the laboratory by treating seeds with Dithane M-45, Granosan-M, Homai 80 wp, Panoctine CG/450, Vitavax-200 and Vitavax-300. Complete control of A. tenuis, B. sorokiniana, C. lunata and F. semitectum was obtained by the highest dose (0.5%) of Panoctine CG/450, Vitavax-aOO and Vitavax-300. Lower dose (0.35 and 0.25%) of these three fungicides also gave complete control of one or more of these four pathogens. Complete control of A. flavus was achieved only by Homai 80wp. Variability in sensitivity of the test pathogens to the fungicides has been discussed.
