摘要
The cavity-forming free energies of micellization (ΔG°cav) for a series of sodium alkyl (C8-C14) sulfates have been computed according to scaled-particle theory (SPT). Other conventional components of free energies (ΔG°i) of micellization for these detergents have also been calculated by use of previously developed models. Analysis of ΔG°cav indicates that cavity-forming free energies play an important role in the process of micellization. © 1990 American Chemical Society.
