摘要
In the paper, bioactivity of glass-ceramic for artificial bone were investigated by soaking the material in SBF (in vitro) and implantation on animals (in vivo), the surface of the glass-ceramic soaked ii SBF for different times were observed and analysised by using the methods of SEM /EDX and thin-film XRD. The results indicate that the Ca, P-rich layer consists of carbonate - containing hydroxyapatite of small crystalltes. The hydroxapatite, carbonapatite and fluoroapatite can epitaxially grow from fluoroapatite presented on the material surface. The experiment on animals indicated that a strong bond can be formed between the surface apatite and the bone apatite, therefore, the glass-ceramics possessed good bioactivity, it can be used to make the parts of artificial bone.
