摘要
In this paper parametric studies on the frequency properties of a rotating multi-layered cylindrical shell are undertaken. The equations of motion for the rotating multi-layered shell, which consider the effects of centrifugal, Coriolis and the initial hoop tension, are formulated using Love's first approximation theory. The analysis is carried out using closed-form solutions for the simply supported cylindrical shell. Results are presented for the frequency characteristics at different modes, geometric properties and different layered configurations of the rotating cylindrical shell. Effects of centrifugal and Coriolis influence on the frequencies and vibratory displacement are also considered. The present method is found to be accurate when compared with results available in the literature.
