摘要:
A variational calculation is performed to obtain the stability criteria, effective mass and the size of a large optical singlet bipolaron for the entire range of the coupling parameters in both two and three dimensions. It is shown that the bipolaron binding is stronger in thin films than in bulk crystals. It is suggested that Cu2O and TiCl in the form of thin films might exhibit bipolaronic effects.
