摘要：

In the title compound, C16H12O5, synthesized from isopthaloyl chloride and 2 '-hydroxyacetophenone, the dihedral angle between the planes of the aromatic rings is 71.37 (9)circle. In the crystal, carboxylic acid inversion dimers generate R-2(2)(8) loops. The dimers are linked by C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions, generating (101) sheets.
