摘要
In this paper, an exact analytical solution for fully developed convective heat transfer in equilateral triangular ducts under constant heat flux at the walls is presented. The previous studies have been performed using numerical methods and to the knowledge of authors, this study is the first EXACT analytical solution about the heat convection in triangular ducts. Here, the finite series expansion method is used to derive the closed form of dimensionless temperature distribution. The Nusselt number and dimensionless temperature at the center of the cross section were calculated equal to 28/9 and 5/9, respectively. The present analytical solution could be useful in analysis of the heat convection in microfluidics and designing compact heat exchangers. (C) 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
