摘要
The purpose of research about socio-historical realities from the perspective of gender theory is discovering the asymmetries and the existing gendered behaviors in specifically analyzed contexts. It seeks to encompass the conducts, concepts and values about men and women that are present in these contexts. This research paper has two parts: first, there is the questioning of the historical invisibility of women (something also true of Venezuelan women), which speaks to us about androcentricity of History itself (also present in Venezuelan History); the second part is about how the incorporation of gender category at a historical level makes us visible and, at the same time, detects/reveals the ways in which subordination has been manifested and produced (as discrimination, violence, etc.) and also proposes and creates referential elements that are valid in order to re-write History, through a historiography able to recuperate the socio-historical experience of those who have been excluded like is the case with women.
