This essay on Chakrabarti, Dhar, and Cullenberg's World of the Third and Global Capitalism critically examines the book's answers to two fundamental questions: What is the relationship between capital and its others ("precapitalist" and "noncapitalist")? And how do we theorize the peculiar unity of difference that is global capital?
