AN IMPROVED METHOD OF HEAT-CAPACITY DERIVATION FROM EXPERIMENTAL ENTHALPIES

A new method to derive heat-capacity values from experimental enthalpy increments has been developed. This "modified-QLLR" method has the advantage that it detects thermal anomalies in the heat-capacity curve. Even a small thermal anomaly in a narrow temperature range can be detected within estimated statistical uncertainties. Typical results of the application of this method to the experimental enthalpy increments of Li4SiO4 are also given. © 1992 Academic Press Limited All rights reserved.
