摘要
The article contains unique evidences - memoirs about Alexander Lieven, the Director of the Russian BBC Service, written by his son - the famous specialist in Russian history, Professor of Cambridge, MBA Dominic Lieven. The text is both a short insight into the history of the Russian Service and the insider's record of relations among the members of the BBC Russian creative team. Among other things it shows the role which played in the making of the Service's information and cultural politics the Russian emigres who worked for the Russian Service during the key years of the Cold War.
