THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF AN ANISOTROPIC SUPERCONDUCTOR - NB3S4

摘要
The magnetization and the specific heat of Nb3S4 were measured near the transition temperature. The thermodynamic quantities were obtained from these results through the thermodynamic relations. The thermodynamic critical field and the specific-heat behavior are explained by the weak-coupling BCS theory included the effects of energy-gap anisotropy. On the basis of the theory, we have estimated the mean-squared anisotropy [a2] = 0.07 and the averaged energy gap 2epsilon0(0)/(k(B)T(c))=3.16.
