摘要
Several anomalies have been observed in the thermal expansion and magnetostriction of CuO single crystals. These anomalies indicate a short-range magnetic order neat T(N1) almost-equal-to 230 K and the existence of a new critical-behaviour temperature, T0 almost-equal-to 203 K. Near this temperature, field-induced magnetic phase transitions are observed. The low-temperature anomalies in DELTAl/l and lambda(T) are linked with an involvement of copper-oxygen holes.
