Magnetic properties of a mixed spin Ising model with random nearest-neighbor interactions on ferromagnetic honeycomb lattice (with spins S = 1 2 and 1) are investigated by the use of the effective-field theory. The interactions are assumed to be independent random variables with distribution p(J1)=pδ(J1j-J1)+(1-p)δ(J1j-J2), where J1>0 and | J 2 J1|≤1. We find a variety of new phenomena induced by the competetion between the random bond and the negative crystal-field interaction, such as a new type of recentrant phenomena in addition to the usual onde due to the frustration of J1J. The physical contents of new phenomena are also classified. © 1990.
