摘要：

The year 2017 marks the entry of the female segment into the military training line of the Brazilian Army. The present article proposes a reflection on the relationship between women and the military career built by the media discourse, more specifically a television program of entertainment, and the reproduction of the representations of genres in force. The study is based on the Bakhtinian theoretical framework on discourse, language and ideology genres. The corpus of the research is a special report published in the Sabrina Program on TV Record about the entry of women into the military military career in the Army. As a result, it can be seen that the gender of the discourse studied maintains the gender discourse in force, repeating the same representations of the woman, although the subject addressed indicates a possible ideological rupture.
