摘要
Oxidative dehydrogenation of ethanol to acetaldehyde over V2O5 -alpha Al2O3 catalyst, was studied by using a flow reactor at temperatures ranging from 433-573K. The effect of the space velocity on conversion and selectivity to partial oxidation products was studied by modifying the flow rate of the ethanol-air mixture for a given catalyst mass. Acetaldehyde was the mayor product, with acetic acid, ethyl acetate, methanol, ethyl ether and carbon oxides as minor products. After the reaction, a reduced vanadium oxide (V4O9) was identified in both catalyst by FTIR Spectroscopy and X Ray Diffraction.
