PHASE-EQUILIBRIA IN THE ZINC-RICH CORNER OF THE IRON-ZINC-MANGANESE TERNARY-SYSTEM AT 450-DEGREES-C

摘要
Intermetallic compounds delta1-FeZn9 and xi-FeZn13 are stable al 450-degrees-C, whereas isotypic MnZn9 and MnZn13 are stable under 430-degrees-C. At 450-degrees-C, the mean temperature of galvanizing baths, Mn can replace 91% of the iron in delta1 and 75% of the iron in xi. A phase diagram Fe-Zn-Mn at 450-degrees-C is presented for the domain x(Zn) > 0.8.
