摘要
A method of Krylov-Bogoliubov type which gives the approximate solution in terms of Jacobi elliptic functions is used to study the quasi-pure-cubic oscillators: x ̈ + c3 x3 + εf(x, x ̇) = 0. Explicit approximate solutions with the perturbative terms x, x2, | x ̇| x ̇ (quadratic damping) and sgn (ẋ) (Coulomb damping) are given and are compared with the numerical (or exact) solution. A simple and accurate expression is derived for the time at which the oscillations with Coulomb damping cease. © 1992.
