摘要
The 13C NMR spectra of the naturally occurring withanolides: withaferin A, 2, 3-dihydrowithaferin A, and seventeen related derivatives have been recorded at 15.03 MHz. The signal due to each carbon atom in these withanolides has been assigned with the help of standard techniques and the spectra have been analyzed in terms of substituent effects. Particular attention is directed towards features of the spectra which are most useful for structure determination and identification of the basic withanolide skeleton in these steroidal lactones. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
