This paper analyzes Argentina policy on biofuels at Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations Conference in 2008, with a double purpose: to recognize drivers of Argentina international insertion and to provide a deeper understanding of current issues on environment field, from a latinoamerican perspective of international relations. The guiding questions were: a) what was the position of Argentina in the context of the Final Declaration of the Conference?; b) what was the vision of the world food situation from FAO perspective?; and c) what was Argentina domestic context in agriculture, energy and environment?
