摘要
In this article we introduce a set of reflections developed in the doctoral research of Class struggle and Social work - the case of the Valle del Cauca--. First, we stress the validity and centrality, in the contemporary society, of the class struggle, from the society's transformation perspective. Subsequently, we propose an analysis of the peace process in Colombia as a key part and product of the class struggle today; we present some elements of the violent development of capitalism in this country; a debate about the peace process. Also, we risk a brief exposure of what we consider to be a process of political, social and economic democratization. Finally, we propose some challenges to Social Work in order to contribute to the peace process, for which we consider necessary the development of a professional ethical-political project, on the path of a critical renovation of the profession in Colombia.
