摘要
Attempts to organize economic activity on the principle of central planning have now been abandoned-in our part of the world at least. The nations of Central and Eastern Europe are confronted by enormous challenges: namely, of building a market system on the ruins of central planning and, at the same time, replacing dictatorship by democracy. In this article, some economic aspects of the workings of planned economies and their relevance for the transition from plan to market will be considered.
