摘要
Ethical principles in clinical practice of palliative care hospice in taking an important role in decision-making. One of the objectives imposed on this practice is to maintain trust and proper communication with the patient. A decision on the final stage of life is important to incorporate the basic principles of medical ethics: beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy and justice. After taking these early decisions will be aimed at a better practice. These along with tools that have been created to support decisions such as informed consent allowed to take measures focused on the main goals of palliative care is to maintain the quality of life without prolonging or shortening life. This will allow support and support for the patient, family and healthcare team. Today it has lost the essence of the doctor-patient relationship, but applying ethical principles, maintaining clear communication with a close relationship with patients and family, was achieved timely decision making. The cornerstone of the relationship is good communication and advance directives. The principle of patient autonomy is critical in the end of life but the physician's role as a moral agent should not be forgotten. Suspend or not to initiate treatment at the end of life are morally equivalent and acceptable when they are consistent with the patient's wishes for a decent management at the end of life.
