SCATTERING OF LIGHT FROM ONE-DIMENSIONAL RANDOM ROUGH SURFACES - A NEW ANTISPECULAR EFFECT IN OBLIQUE INCIDENCES

摘要
The scattering of light from metallic random gratings is studied theroretically in the general case in which the wave vector of the incident plane wave does not lie upon the main section of the cylindrical surface. On the basis of present knowledge about the phenomenon of enhanced backscattering, it is possible to predict, without numerical calculations, the existence of a new effect associated with weak localization of light in random surfaces.
