摘要：

Eighty-eight sclerocorneal trephinations, 68 filtering iridectomies, and 24 iridencleisis operations for chronic simple glaucoma, were performed in African Negroes. A two-year follow-up showed a 39%, 26% and 4% success rate respectively for each of these operations. Failures occurred soon after operation and predominantly among younger people, and were probably due to the scarring tendency of the Negro race. © 1969.
