Traced as an invitation to search for other possibilities to think about train teachers for Early Childhood Education, this paper brings the contribution of authors who dealt with the theme, situated in the interface between education and art. In order to promote the necessary aesthetic-cultural teacher education, visibility and voice is given to early childhood education teachers who think about art in their personal and professional paths, and they state their desires: how they would like art to be present in their lives. From the teachers' voices, accepted in the process of a research, they resonate desires that affirm the necessity of art and can be constituted in parameters for the revision and the proposition of courses of initial and continuing education.
