摘要
Two isotopes, 247Am and a high-spin isomer of 246Am, were produced by 4He irradiations of 244Pu. The beta decay half-lives were found to be 39 ± 3 min and 20 ± 4 min for 246Am and 247Am, respectively. Gamma rays of 99·5, 127·4, 153·5, 205, 630, 680, 757, 782 and 835 keV were associated with the decay of 246Am, and 227- and 285-keV γ-rays were emitted by 247Am. The 99·5-, 153·5- and 205-keV γ-rays are transitions between members of the ground state band. Coincidence studies established levels at 1181 and 1053 keV, the former being an 8-state and the latter having a spin of 6 or 7. The γ-rays of energy 127·4, 630, 782, and 835 keV are not definitely assigned. © 1968.
