摘要
We have studied the quality of liquid phase epitaxially grown spinel ferrite layers using optical microscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and spin wave resonance. The films were grown from PbOB2O3, Na2B4O7 and Pb2P2O7 fluxes on different substrates. We have found that if the layers are grown from a PbOB2O3 flux it is necessary to have a misorientation of a few degrees from the (111) direction to eliminate the hillock growth. For different fluxes this misorientation angle varies. We have also found that the layers suffer from an interdiffusion process during the film growth. Evidence for this fact is presented in this paper and also the effect that it has on the magnetic properties of the layers. © 1979 IEEE
