摘要
An optical flow rate meter, based on laser Doppler anemometry, is presented. It measures the centreline velocity in pipe flow and converts this information to yield the corresponding volumetric flow rate. This conversion requires knowledge of the dependence of shear viscosity on shear rate and shear stress, respectively. The instrument needs no calibration.
