A 19th Century Case of Parricide at the Beginning of the 21th Century

Before the social magnicide and the undifferentiated, banal and thoughtless repetition of the present speech and act of the masters of the epochal power at the beginning of this century numbered twenty-one, I develop histories and texts of legend and historical saga, poetic and respectable of another human nature. Of Oedipuses and their most endearing plots in spite of their tragic effects, of familiarities non-fa-millionars. With data punctuated and strongly descriptive of the life, passion and death of the parricide Pierre Riviere, a Saga ritually sung in a blind Romance which was sold in loose leaves in territories of Courvaudon, in the north of France, around the year 1835, with references to other three murders: the one of a military man, Lortie, on the Assembly of Quebec, where "he saw the face of his father"; the one of some orphan maids to their landladies in a bourgeois home in France in the 30s of the last 1900; and the one of an inhabitant of our shanty towns, on the edge of the nineties and the new century-millennium in which I write this text.
