摘要：

A detailed account of the preparation of the ''drug'' TEP from the earthworm Lampito mauritii Kinberg and the use of the petroleum ether fraction of TEP for its anti-inflammatory property on albino rats has been investigated. The efficiency of the drug appears to be similar to that of aspirin in carrageenan induced oedema. Preliminary reports are encouraging, however further investigations are needed.
