摘要
The era in which nations ruled the world is over. With the information revolution and the demise of the United States as the dominant world power, three groups have joined nations as important global players: transnational corporations, international organizations, and special interest groups. Global players can be expected to collaborate in different ways on a wide range of issues. Some collaborations will benefit the global citizenry while others will be detrimental. Policy analysis is needed, but the field of international relations, with its focus on nations, does not provide a sufficiently broad conceptual framework for the needed analytical work. © 1991.
