摘要
At the Department of Orthopaedics, Malmo General Hospital. 108 porous-coated anatomic unicompartmental arthroplasties wt re performed over 7 years (1984-1990) on 98 patients with medial or lateral gonarthrosis. Sixty-one percent of the patients were rated as good or excellent and 39% as fair or poor. In 28% of patients, revisions were undertaken mainly because of loosening of the femoral component and/or excessive wear of the polyethylene in the tibial component. There were no differences between cemented and noncemented nor between medial and lateral arthroplasties with respect to success or failure. A severe foreign body reaction was observed in two of the revised patients.
