摘要
Fission cross sections have been measured using Makrofol track detector techniques for targets of Bi-209, Pa-231, U-233, U-234, U-235, Np-237, Pu-241, and Pu-242 using a pi+ beam of 138 MeV, and pi-beams of 131 and 138 MeV. Fission probabilities are about 80% for the heaviest targets, for both pion signs. Smaller and sign-dependent fission probabilities are found for bismuth. [GRAPHICS]
