The innovation in higher education from the perspective of social responsibility

摘要
The current research has a purpose of analyzing the Innovation Management from the perspective of Social Responsibility. It was worked with a descriptive-exploratory methodology, analytical, of field, conformed by a population represented by dependencies of the University of Zulia, which are linked with the social productive and social communitarian environment. The obtained results show that the university represents a fundamental entity for the generation of knowledge, and offers quality and service assurance; that the principal activity of innovation made by these dependencies are the human resource training and research projects; and in terms of technology, the use of computers and internet prevails. Regarding the connection with the social environment, it ' s appreciated that the most successful channels of technology transfer are: technical assistance, consultancies, advisories and workshops. In conclusion, the action strategy of the universities has an impact on the formation of professionals, business liders, organizational and communitarians, as well as in the promotion, creation, and transference of social responsibility and innovation; establishing the synergy between the activities of teaching, research and extension, which contribute to the strengthening of its connection with the social environment.
