ELECTRON-SCATTERING FROM H-2(+) - RESONANCES IN THE SIGMA-SYMMETRY AND PI-SYMMETRY

摘要
We present results of calculations for e(-) + H-2(+) scattering in the energy regime below the first excited state for resonance symmetries Sigma and Pi. We employ three distinct and independent methods: close-coupling linear algebraic, effective optical potential linear algebraic, and R matrix. We report extended calculations on the (1) Pi(g), resonance, important to dissociative recombination. We show binding of the (1) Sigma(g), state resonance between 2.6 and 2.7 bohrs. Our (1) Sigma(u) state results agree very well with previous calculations and reside a factor of 2 below a recent experiment.
