In a living couple (reared from larvae) of Alena (Aztekoraphidia) infundibulata n.sp., a species recently discovered in Mexico, a spermatophore was detected which represents the first documented finding within the ordo Raphidioptera. This spermatophore is figured, its position within the categories of spermatophores as defined by Gerber [1 970] is discussed. A. infundibulata n. sp. is closely related to Alena (Aztekoraphidia) caudata (Navas 1914) and Alena (Aztekoraphidia) schremmeri n.sp. The 2 new species are described and figured (alae, male and female genital structures, larvae). The larvae are the first records of early stages of Alena Navas 1916. a genus with an isolated position within the family. So far both species have been found in the S of Mexico (State of Oaxaca) only. They represent the southernmost records of extant representatives of the family Raphidiidae in the world.
