MAGNETIC-BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION OF FE/C COMPOSITION-MODULATED FILMS UNDER SHORT-PULSE HEAT ACTION

摘要
The formation and evolution of the ferromagnetic phase in FexC1-x systems at thermally induced agglomeration of Fe atoms is studied. A transformation into the ferromagnetic phase possesses an essentially threshold feature. As assumed, this transformation is a result of iron cluster coalescence and their diffusion growth. The duration of the transformation in composition-modulated Fe/C does not exceed a few nanoseconds at a temperature of 200-degrees-C, thus providing the opportunity to produce magnetic microparticles by simple enough methods (such as laser projection printing). The properties of laser-printed magnetic microparticles as well as their possible utility as reversible cells of memory are discussed.
