摘要
This paper discusses the use of social networks and media by Brazilians and their influence on the users' lives. In this sense, it aims to examine the contextualization of Brazil in the world in terms of how people interact through the Internet, the behavior of users who increasingly diversify the use of media, and the opportunities and risks presented to businesses. The method involved a review of literature aimed at seeking theoretical references published in documents, such as books and magazines, to explain this issue. This study enabled us to see that users are also using the social networks as purchase search engines. As the number of profiles in social media tends to grow, businesses ready to adjust themselves to this new medium are likely to expand their market opportunities.
