ELECTRODEPOSITION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF IRON SULFIDE THIN-FILMS

摘要
Preliminary results of the electrochemical synthesis of iron sulphide thin films on Pt substrates carried out in DEG (diethylene glycol) solutions containing sulphur and iron chloride as reagents are reported. The deposition was carried out potentiostatically at 0.45 or 0.65 V (SCE) and solid-state characterization was performed by XRD, SEM and EDX. The as-electrodeposited samples were found to be amorphous. Annealing at 285-degrees-C produced some crystalline phases of FeS2 and FeS.
