摘要
In this paper we presented, the forced convection magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer flow and heat transfer of nanofluid over an exponentially stretching sheet. The transport equations employed in the analysis include the effect of Brownian motion and thermophoresis. The system of partial differential equations governing the flow was reduced to a system of non linear ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformations. The transformed equations were numerically solved by an explicit finite difference scheme known as the Keller box method. The numerical results for the velocity profile, temperature profile and concentration profile as well as the local skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number were obtained for different values of the governing parameters which include the magnetic parameter, melting parameter, suction/injection parameter, Prandtl number, Brownian motion parameter, thermophoresis parameter and Lewis number. The results are presented in tables and graphs. The results indicate that skin friction coefficient increases with an increase in the magnetic parameter. Likewise, the local Nusselt number and Sherwood number increases with an increase in the melting parameter. However, the local Nusselt number decreases with an increase in the thermophoresis parameter, Brownian parameter and velocity suction/injection parameter, and the local Sherwood number decreases with an increase in the magnetic parameter and suction/injection parameter. In addition, it was found that an increase in the suction/injection parameter decreases the skin friction coefficient. A comparison with previously reported data is made and an excellent agreement is noted.
