摘要
This paper is intended to develop the construction of an alternative approach regarding the reality of mining in Colombia. In contrast to its stigmatization, this article highlights the existing potential of inhabitants of the mining territories. In order to do this, the starting point is the study of trust as a trigger for social change. Then, the generalities of the political economy of gold mining are described and the problem of the supplying of gold to jewelers is addressed, in order to propose cooperative solutions with economic and social benefits for the mining community.
