摘要
A number of hydroxamic acids have been investigated for the extraction of chromium(III) from chrome tanned leather waste. Benzohydroxamic acid (BHA) was the most suitable chelating agent and preliminary experiments showed that the extracted chromium(III) has potential tanning capacity. Approximately 90% of BHA was recovered. This method has potential for application to environmental and industrial problems concerning chromium waste, but is at present economically unattractive.
